Fred Eromosele Ehimen Obituary, Death; – A man from Maryland has lost his life following a car accident on I-70, which is believed to have been caused by a 17-year-old driver.
On Monday, Maryland State Police were dispatched to the I-70 ramp in response to reports of a collision. The deceased has been identified as Fred Eromosele Ehimen, who was driving a Toyota Camry.
Initial investigations indicate that the teenager was operating a 2013 Ford Explorer and was traveling in the wrong direction on I-70 when he collided head-on with Ehimen’s vehicle.
The teenager’s car contained two passengers, aged 13 and 16. The driver was airlifted to R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma, while the two passengers were transported to local hospitals by ambulance. Their current health status remains unknown. Ehimen was pronounced dead at the scene on I-70.
Before the crash occurred, a Frederick County Sheriff’s Deputy discovered that the Ford Explorer being driven by the 17-year-old had been reported stolen. Attempts were made to pull the vehicle over, but the teenager failed to stop, leading to a pursuit that concluded “several miles” earlier, according to police reports.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
