Lo-Letha Hall Obituary, Death; – The estate of a 61-year-old woman, who was fatally shot in Clark County, has initiated a wrongful death lawsuit.
The lawsuit, brought forth by the Estate of Lo-Letha Hall, names William Brock and five unidentified individuals, alleging that they attempted to defraud Brock. Hall’s estate is seeking damages exceeding $25,000 and has requested a jury trial.
According to reports from News Center 7, Hall was shot on March 25, 2024, in the 7000 block of South Charleston Clifton Road.
Brock contacted emergency services, claiming he had shot an individual on his property who was trying to rob him.
Investigations revealed that Brock had fallen victim to a scam call concerning a relative in prison, during which the caller threatened him and demanded money.
Hall had also been in contact with the same individual who had called Brock or an accomplice via the Uber App, requesting her to collect a package from Brock’s residence. Investigators noted that Hall was unaware of the situation involving Brock when she arrived at his home and interacted with him.
Brock’s criminal trial is scheduled to commence in April.
