Judy Streit Obituary, Death; – A woman from Capron lost her life, and another woman from Loves Park was hospitalized following a collision that occurred in Boone County on Saturday morning.
As reported by the Boone County Sheriff’s Office, a 2014 Hyundai Accent, operated by 74-year-old Judy Streit, was traveling south on Boone/McHenry County Road when she failed to yield at the intersection with Woodstock Road, resulting in a collision with a 2018 Kia Soul driven by a 67-year-old woman from Loves Park.
Streit was declared deceased at the scene, while the woman from Loves Park was transported to a hospital in Rockford with injuries that are not considered life-threatening. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
