Jeanne Satterfield Obituary, Death; – A woman from Anderson County lost her life on Sunday in a head-on collision, as reported by the Anderson County Coroner’s Office. The incident occurred around 5:45 p.m. on South Mechanic Street.
According to law enforcement, a 2016 Mercedes SUV was heading west on South Mechanic Street, while a 2005 Ford Escape was traveling east in the opposite direction. The coroner’s office indicated that it seems the Ford driver crossed over the center line.
Troopers reported that both the driver and passenger of the Mercedes SUV sustained injuries and were transported to the hospital. Tragically, the driver of the Ford Escape was pronounced dead at the scene. The coroner has identified the deceased driver as 60-year-old Jeanne Satterfield from Townville.
