Willianna Salas,Ximena Salas Obituary, Death; – The Fresno County Coroner’s Office has confirmed the identities of the two women who perished in a devastating crash in Fresno earlier this week. On Friday, the victims were identified as 19-year-old Willianna Salas and 20-year-old Ximena Salas, both residents of Fresno.

As reported by the California Highway Patrol, the tragic incident occurred early Wednesday morning at the intersection of Highway 168 and McKinley Avenue. The CHP began receiving reports of a vehicle traveling the wrong way on Highway 168, moving from Herndon to McKinley avenues.

CHP units were dispatched in an attempt to intercept the vehicle. Subsequently, investigators received a report from an individual on McKinley Avenue indicating that the vehicle, a 2005 Volvo, had crashed and was engulfed in flames.

“Regrettably, our units could not reach the vehicle prior to the crash. By the time they arrived on the scene, the vehicle was completely engulfed, and there was no possibility of rescuing the occupants,” stated CHP Sergeant Elvis Reynoso. The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
