Deven Stewart,Michael Droegemeier Obituary, Death; – Authorities have identified four individuals who lost their lives in distinct traffic incidents throughout the San Diego region over the past fortnight, including two fatalities resulting from a single collision.

The latest of the three fatal accidents occurred shortly before 10:30 p.m. on Friday, when a vehicle operated by 48-year-old Michael Droegemeier collided with at least one other vehicle on Willow Glen Drive in the Jamacha area, situated north of Jamul, as reported by the Medical Examiner’s Office.

Droegemeier, whose residence remains unspecified, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the agency. A passenger in his vehicle, 32-year-old Lowell McCrea from El Cajon, was transported to Sharp Memorial Hospital in San Diego, where he was later declared deceased.

Approximately one hour prior, a wrong-way crash resulted in the death of a motorist near Santana High School, as indicated by the medical examiner. Deven Stewart, 32, was traveling eastbound on the westbound lane of Mast Boulevard in his hometown of Santee when his vehicle collided head-on with an oncoming SUV near Magnolia Avenue, according to officials. Stewart was taken by paramedics to Sharp Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Eight days earlier, a collision just west of Mount Helix resulted in the fatal injury of a 32-year-old driver, officials reported. Erick Morales of Chula Vista was driving on Bancroft Drive in Spring Valley when his vehicle veered off the road and struck a tree just north of Campo Road shortly before 4:30 a.m. on January 30, as noted by the medical examiner. Paramedics transported Morales to Sharp Memorial Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
