Kaden Coleman Obituary, Death; – Authorities have disclosed the identity of a 10-year-old boy who was tragically shot and killed on the East Side of Cleveland on Monday.

Kaden Coleman, a resident of Cleveland, succumbed to injuries sustained from a gunshot wound to the head on Friday in the vicinity of the 3900 block of East 147th Street, close to Glendale Avenue, as reported by law enforcement and the Cuyahoga County medical examiner’s office.

According to police, Kaden was inside a vehicle when the shooting occurred. A suspect discharged multiple rounds at the vehicle while the driver was reversing out of a driveway. Cleveland police arrived at the scene shortly before 8 p.m. and learned that Kaden had been transported to the Fourth District headquarters in a private vehicle.

Paramedics rendered aid to the child before he was taken to University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead early Saturday morning, as stated by police. Cleveland.com and The Plain Dealer have sought updates from the Cleveland Division of Police regarding the ongoing investigation.

It remains unclear whether any arrests have been made in relation to the shooting incident. In a statement, Mayor Justin Bibb emphasized that children have the right to grow up in safety.

“This is a tragedy that should never occur, and we owe it to this child — and every child — to strive for improvement, to be better, and to advocate for a world where children can grow up free from fear and violence,” Bibb remarked.

He also encouraged residents to contact Cleveland police homicide detectives at 216-623-5464 if they possess any information pertaining to the shooting.
