Rosa Jones,Kamari Green Obituary, Death; – Family members have confirmed the identities of the children and their grandmother who tragically lost their lives in a violent accident in Miami Gardens over the weekend.

The incident involved five children and three adults traveling in a white Nissan Altima, which collided at the intersection of Northwest 170th Street and 37th Avenue shortly before 6 p.m. on Saturday.

On Monday, the aunt of the deceased children identified them as siblings, while the adult victim was recognized as their grandmother, Rosa Jones, who was in her 50s. The children who perished include Kamari Green, who was celebrating his 10th birthday, 9-year-old Azariah McCall, and 11-year-old Arianna Johnson, as stated by their aunt, Susie Williams.

Their other sibling, 13-year-old Kamarya Graham, sustained severe injuries and has been declared brain dead, according to their aunt. The children’s mother remains in critical condition, and her partner is also hospitalized. Additionally, a 7-year-old family friend who was in the vehicle is currently in stable condition.

Surveillance footage captured a black Kia Sorrento rear-ending the Altima, which subsequently collided with a silver Cadillac Escalade. Cellphone footage from a bystander depicted several individuals attempting to rescue the victims from the Altima following the crash.

According to the Miami Gardens Police, the driver of the Sorento, 25-year-old Antonio Wilcox Jr., was determined to be at fault, having been driving at a high speed while under the influence of alcohol. An off-duty officer from Opa-locka witnessed the incident and detained Wilcox, who has been charged with five counts of vehicular homicide, as reported by officials.

“We can definitely confirm that speed was a factor and alcohol was also a factor,” stated Emmanuel Jeanty, spokesperson for the Miami Gardens Police. Williams expressed her struggle to cope with the loss, saying, “At the end of the day, I just want them to get him, and do what they got to do. My family’s gone so they can’t replace them back. So at the end of the day I need y’all prayers.”
