Elaine Hodgson Obituary, Death; – Elaine Hodgson, aged 84, was involved in a collision with a silver Ford Transit van at Woodhouse Green in Thurcroft on Wednesday, January 22. The incident occurred shortly after 8 PM, as reported by South Yorkshire Police, while she was walking.
Despite surviving the initial impact, she sustained severe injuries and was transported to the hospital, where she later passed away.
Elaine’s family has since paid tribute to their beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. They expressed, “Our mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother was an extraordinary and determined individual who devoted 45 years of her life to the nursing profession.

Her dedication to her family and friends, especially her great-grandchildren, was steadfast and unquestionable, showcasing her deep love and commitment to them.” The police investigation is ongoing, and officers are eager to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or possesses dashcam or CCTV footage that may assist in their inquiries.
