Steven Dreuitt Obituary, Death; – Philadelphia authorities have confirmed the identity of the individual who lost his life when a medical jet crashed in Northeast Philadelphia on Friday, January 31, 2025. On Wednesday, officials identified the deceased as 37-year-old Steven Dreuitt, a resident of Philadelphia.

First responders who arrived at the scene on Friday found multiple vehicles along the 2300 block of Cottman Avenue. “First responders at the scene located a deceased individual inside one of the vehicles,” officials stated in a release on Wednesday, February 5, 2025.

On the evening of January 31, 2025, shortly after 6 p.m., a Learjet 55, which had just taken off from Northeast Philadelphia Airport less than three miles away, crashed to the ground, resulting in a significant explosion and a fireball that consumed everything in its vicinity.

The incident claimed the lives of all six individuals aboard the medical jet, including Valentina Guzman Murillo, a young girl who was returning to Mexico after receiving treatment for a serious illness at Shriners Children’s Philadelphia.

Also on board were her mother, Lizeth Murillo Ozuna, Captain Alan Alejandro Montoya Perales, co-pilot Josue de Jesus Juarez Juarez, Dr. Raul Meza Arredondo, and paramedic Rodrigo Lopez Padilla. The flight was en route to Missouri and was scheduled to continue to Tijuana, Mexico. An investigation into the circumstances surrounding this plane crash remains ongoing.
