Darrell McKelby Obituary, Death; – A man has died following what authorities suspect was a confrontation that escalated into a stabbing incident early Tuesday in Kansas City.

Officers from the Kansas City Police Department responded to the 500 block of Quincy Avenue at approximately 2 a.m. after receiving reports of a cutting. Upon their arrival at the residence, they found the door ajar and several individuals calling for police assistance from within.

The officers discovered a man with apparent stab wounds. Emergency medical personnel provided immediate aid, and he was subsequently transported to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

The victim has been identified as 23-year-old Darrell McKelby. A woman has been taken into custody for further questioning. Authorities indicated that the incident may have originated from a verbal dispute that escalated into physical violence.
