Dejong Dirk Kinney Obituary, Death; – The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office is seeking to locate the family of a man who passed away over a week ago.
Dejong Dirk Kinney, aged 70, from Birmingham, was discovered unresponsive in his home by Birmingham Police during a welfare check initiated by a concerned neighbor on Tuesday, January 21. He was subsequently pronounced dead at the scene due to natural causes.
Kinney had previously resided in Birmingham on 24th Street SW and 18th Street South; however, neighbors indicate that he was not originally from the Birmingham area.
