Chad Vanscotter Obituary, Death;- A man was allegedly shot and killed by his neighbor during a confrontation in Clarkston.

The Clarkston Police Department reported that officers responded to a call regarding a gunshot victim near Ash Street at approximately 9 p.m. on Tuesday. Upon their arrival, they discovered a deceased man at the scene, later identified as 53-year-old Chad Vanscotter.

Authorities stated that they interviewed 76-year-old David Boyd, who purportedly admitted to shooting Vanscotter during the altercation. Boyd has since been arrested and taken into custody at the Asotin County Jail.

Investigators have indicated that they have established probable cause to charge Boyd with first-degree murder, and the investigation remains ongoing. Individuals with information related to this case are encouraged to reach out to the Clarkston Police Department at (509) 758-1680.
