Eric Williams Obituary, Death; – A pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle on Tuesday night in Indio. The incident occurred shortly after 11:45 p.m. on Indio Boulevard, located east of Highway 111.
According to police, a vehicle was traveling at an undetermined speed on Indio Boulevard when, for reasons yet to be established, a man entered the vehicle’s path. The impact resulted in severe injuries to the pedestrian.
Authorities pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene, identifying him as 39-year-old Eric Williams from Indio. Police confirmed that the driver of the vehicle remained at the location and is cooperating with the ongoing investigation. The cause of the traffic collision is still being examined.
