Freddie Weston Obituary, Death; – On Thursday, the New York City police continued their search for a murder suspect following the fatal shooting of a 47-year-old man at a subway station in Brooklyn.
The deceased, identified as Freddie Weston from Brownsville, was discovered around 11:15 p.m. on Wednesday, suffering from a gunshot wound to the head near the booth area of the Rockaway Avenue A/C line, as reported by investigators. He was promptly transported to Brookdale Hospital; however, his injuries proved to be fatal.
Weston resided just a few blocks from the subway station and had recently commenced employment at a supermarket in Queens, according to statements from neighbors to NBC New York. His girlfriend informed News 4 that Weston might have been en route to his job at the time of the incident.
NYPD officers were observed securing the street-level entrances and conducting searches of nearby businesses for surveillance footage that could aid in identifying a suspect. Authorities have yet to disclose additional details regarding this alarming crime.
