Jocelyn Jimenez Obituary, Death; – A 32-year-old man faces accusations of fatally shooting his sister and injuring his parents, an act he attributes to years of bullying he endured.

Gerardo Jimenez-Rico, residing in Milwaukee, has been charged with first-degree intentional homicide and two counts of attempted first-degree homicide. According to a criminal complaint filed on Monday, Jimenez-Rico presented himself at a Milwaukee Police Department station on the day of the incident and confessed to the offenses.

The victim, identified as 22-year-old Jocelyn Jimenez, was shot and killed around 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday. His parents, aged 56 and 54, were also shot and are currently hospitalized. All charges against Jimenez-Rico include enhancements for domestic abuse and the use of a dangerous weapon. He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on February 6 and is currently held at the Milwaukee County Jail, with a bond set at $1 million.

The criminal complaint reveals that Jimenez-Rico claimed he shot his family members in response to ongoing bullying. He stated that the altercation began after his father reprimanded him for unwashed dishes upon their return from a trip to Mexico, with his sister later joining the confrontation.

As tensions escalated, Jimenez-Rico reported that his father suggested he “find another place to live.” He admitted to shooting his sister after she brandished a knife, although he did not intend to harm his mother and could not provide a rationale for his actions.

Jimenez-Rico expressed to detectives that the bullying he experienced had persisted for years, primarily due to his unemployment status. A detective noted in the complaint that he was “fed up with putting up with the bullying from his father and his sister.”

At the time of the shooting, two additional individuals were present in the home: a 3-year-old child and an adult with cognitive delays. A GoFundMe campaign established for the family has raised nearly $10,000 as of Monday evening.
