Joshua Ragland Obituary, Death; – The identity of the Lexington teenager who lost his life in a crash in Franklin County has been confirmed.
According to the Franklin County Coroner’s Office, 16-year-old Joshua Ragland from Lexington was fatally injured in an incident that occurred on Sunday. The Kentucky State Police reported that the accident took place around 11 a.m. on I-64 westbound at mile marker 59, prior to Versailles Road.
As per KSP, a 2017 Toyota Highlander was traveling west on I-64 when it collided with a 2020 Toyota Corolla. Following the collision, the Toyota Highlander veered off the roadway, striking a rock embankment, which resulted in Ragland being ejected from the vehicle and suffering life-threatening injuries.
Ragland was transported to Frankfort Regional Medical Center, where he was subsequently pronounced dead. The Kentucky State Police has indicated that the investigation is still ongoing.
