Jaquad Malik Pearson Obituary, Death; – Two individuals have been apprehended following the fatal shooting of a 19-year-old in northwest Charlotte earlier this month.
Jaquad Malik Pearson succumbed to his injuries after being shot on Brookshire Boulevard near Oakdale Road on January 14. The incident took place in a parking lot adjacent to the Shell gas station.
In the aftermath of Pearson’s death, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg police identified two suspects. One suspect is 18-year-old Demetrius Kavon Adams, while the other is a juvenile whose identity has not been disclosed.
Both Adams and the juvenile were questioned by detectives and subsequently taken into custody. They have been charged with murder. Court documents indicate that Adams was denied bail and assigned a public defender during a court hearing on Friday, January 24.
