Chelsea Milledge Obituary, Death; – A 21-year-old individual has been formally charged with murder following the fatal shooting of a woman, as reported by law enforcement officials.
On Wednesday, January 22, police responded to a report of a shooting in the 900 block of Holloway Avenue. Upon their arrival, they found a female victim who had sustained gunshot wounds. The victim, later identified as 33-year-old Chelsea Milledge, was subsequently transported to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital for emergency surgery.
Based on information collected at the scene, officers were able to identify and apprehend a suspect. Eugene Barber, aged 21, was taken into custody for further questioning. During the course of the investigation, it was revealed that several children were present in the residence at the time of the incident; fortunately, they were unharmed.
Eugene Barber is facing charges that include:
– Home Invasion in the First Degree
– Possession of a Firearm During Certain Crimes
– Murder
WALB has reported that Chelsea Milledge succumbed to her injuries this morning.
