James Carmichael Obituary, Death; – A woman from Onslow County is currently awaiting extradition to Virginia, where she is charged with murder.
According to the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI), Sherri McGregor was apprehended last Thursday in Onslow County based on a murder warrant issued by the Martinsville, Virginia police department.
Authorities in Virginia report that the 56-year-old woman fatally stabbed James Carmichael on September 22. The 69-year-old man succumbed to injuries sustained from a stab wound to the chest.
As of now, Virginia police have not disclosed any potential motive for the murder or the nature of the relationship between McGregor and the victim.
