Adrian Quiroz Obituary, Death; – A 19-year-old man who tragically lost his life last week after colliding with a stationary semi-truck in Perris has been identified.

Adrian Quiroz, a resident of Perris, was traveling east on Ellis Avenue from Redlands Avenue at approximately 6:48 p.m. on Friday, January 17, when his sedan struck the parked vehicle.

Upon arrival at the scene, Riverside County deputies discovered Quiroz with severe injuries. He was pronounced dead at the location, as reported by the sheriff’s department. A GoFundMe campaign has recognized Quiroz as a graduate of Orange Vista High School who had enlisted in the U.S. military.

“Adrian had ambitious aspirations and exhibited exceptional maturity from a young age,” the campaign states. “He was a remarkable person, always willing to help, kind, and respectful. Adrian will be profoundly missed.” The driver of the semi-truck was in the cab at the time of the incident and did not sustain any injuries.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the sheriff’s department, and it is currently unclear whether drugs or alcohol played a role, according to the agency.

Individuals with any information regarding the incident are encouraged to contact Deputy Joseph Puente at the Perris Sheriff’s Station at 951-210-1000 or the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department at 951-776-1099.
