Derek Clay Obituary, Death;- A 32-year-old pedestrian who lost his life after being struck by a vehicle on a freeway in South Los Angeles was identified on Tuesday.
The victim has been named as Derek Clay by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s office. The incident took place at approximately 5:15 p.m. on Sunday in the express lane of the Harbor (110) Freeway, close to West Slauson Avenue, as reported by the California Highway Patrol.
Following the accident, a SigAlert was promptly issued, resulting in the closure of the lane. The circumstances surrounding Clay’s presence on the freeway remain unclear.
