Edward Kirk Obituary, – Last week, a motorcyclist tragically lost his life in San Jose after falling from his motorcycle and being hit by a truck, according to police reports released on Wednesday. The incident occurred at 12:14 p.m. on Thursday, when authorities responded to a notification regarding a deadly traffic accident in the 1100 block of Old Bayshore Highway, which involved a commercial truck and a motorcycle.

According to police, a 2020 Honda motorcycle, operated by a 58-year-old man named Edward Kirk from San Jose, was traveling north on Old Bayshore Highway. While maneuvering through traffic, the motorcyclist collided with a 2015 Peterbilt truck, which was also heading north and driven by an adult male. Following the collision, Kirk fell from his motorcycle and was subsequently struck by the truck. He was declared dead at the scene.

The driver of the truck remained at the location and cooperated fully with the ongoing investigation. This incident marked the 35th fatal traffic collision in San Jose for the year 2024.
