Connor Demots Arrested; Police arrest suspect after man found shot to death near Las Vegas train tracks

Connor Demots Arrested; – A man has been apprehended by police in connection with the shooting death of another individual, whose body was discovered near train tracks in Las Vegas earlier this month.

On Thursday, January 2, at approximately 3:30 p.m., officers from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department were dispatched to the vicinity of West Owens Avenue and Stocker Street following reports of a deceased person.

Upon arrival, law enforcement officials located a man suffering from a gunshot wound situated between a building and the railroad tracks. Emergency medical personnel pronounced the individual dead at the scene, and a subsequent examination by a medical examiner classified the death as a homicide.

Detectives have identified Connor Demots, 30, as the individual responsible for the shooting. He was arrested on January 14 and subsequently booked into the Clark County Detention Center on charges of open murder with a deadly weapon. Demots is being held without bail, with his next court appearance set for January 16.
