William Payne Obituary, Death: – Authorities have confirmed the death of an individual involved in a collision that transpired on Tuesday afternoon along Whites Creek Pike. The Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) reported that the incident occurred at approximately 2:20 p.m. on Whites Creek Pike, in proximity to Jackman Road.

The deceased, identified as 46-year-old William Payne from Clarksville, was driving a BMW 28I sedan and was heading northbound when he lost control of the vehicle. The car departed from the roadway, entered a ditch, and subsequently struck a utility pole.

Payne was taken to Skyline Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased. At the scene, law enforcement officials observed no signs of impairment, and it was confirmed that Payne was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the incident. Further information regarding the accident or the ongoing investigation has not been disclosed.
