Sherri Rule Arrested; Shreveport woman arrested for allegedly pouring gas on home, setting it on fire

Sherri Rule Arrested; – The Shreveport Police Department has made an arrest in connection with an arson case. The incident happened Dec. 31, 2024 just before 2 p.m. Police say officers responded to a house in the 1600 block of Rex Street after getting reports of a fire. Witnesses, including an Uber driver, told police they saw a woman pouring gas on the house and setting it on fire.

That woman has been identified as Sherri Rule, 57. Fire investigators were called out to the house. Police managed to find Rule in the 500 block of Boulevard Street. While searching her during her arrest, police report finding a pipe used in smoking certain narcotics hidden in her clothing.

Police say they don’t know Rule’s motive right now, and the investigation is ongoing. Rule is charged with arson; other charges are pending.
