Gregory X Ashford Obituary, Death; – The Beloit Police Department has confirmed the identity of the individual who was fatally shot as 32-year-old Gregory X. Ashford, a resident of Beloit.
On December 26, shortly before 7:45 p.m., law enforcement responded to reports of two individuals having been shot in the 1200 block of Oak Street in Beloit. Upon arrival, officers discovered two victims: Ashford, who succumbed to his injuries, and a woman who sustained injuries but is anticipated to recover.
City of Beloit Police Chief Andre Sayles expressed, “Our heartfelt condolences go out to his family and loved ones during this difficult time.” Authorities have yet to disclose any details regarding a suspect. They are actively pursuing leads and awaiting results from the crime laboratory.
