Elijah B Slavey Obituary, Death; – A 19-year-old man from North Carolina lost his life in a collision that occurred early on New Year’s Day in Carroll County, as reported by Virginia State Police. Elijah B. Slavey was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident at 1:01 a.m. on January 1, 2025, on Route 643 in Carroll County.
According to law enforcement, Slavey was operating a Nissan Altima southbound on Route 643 when he failed to navigate a curve, veered off the left side of the roadway, and collided head-on with a tree before impacting a second tree.
Authorities noted that he was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the incident. A passenger in the vehicle suffered serious injuries and was subsequently transported to a medical facility.
