Brent James Walker Obituary, Death; – Jackson County Sheriff Gary Schuette is requesting assistance from the community regarding a hit-and-run incident that occurred in November.
On Saturday, November 23, at approximately 3:48 a.m., deputies from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) responded to a report of an individual who had been struck by a vehicle in the vicinity of East South Street and Helena Avenue. Upon their arrival, deputies discovered a deceased male on the north side of South Street. The individual was later identified as 34-year-old Brent James Walker. The vehicle involved in the incident and its driver had fled the scene prior to the deputies’ arrival.
The JCSO is appealing to the public for any information related to this incident. “Particularly if you were present in the South Street area on November 23, 2024, between 3:00 a.m. and 3:30 a.m.,” stated the JCSO.
