Zonya Jensen Obituary, Death; – The coroner of Marlboro County has identified the woman who tragically lost her life in a collision earlier this week. Coroner De’Aron Smith confirmed that Zonya Jensen from Pennsylvania was the motorcyclist pronounced dead at the scene of the accident that occurred on Monday.
The incident took place at approximately 11:25 a.m. on Highway 15, just south of McColl. According to Cpl. David Jones, both a 2020 Harley-Davidson motorcycle and a 2020 Kenworth tractor-trailer were traveling south on the highway when Jensen attempted to overtake the tractor-trailer, lost control, and subsequently collided with it. Both the coroner’s office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol have reported that the other driver sustained injuries in the accident. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
