Zaveon Simpkins Obituary, Death; – Two brothers from Montgomery have been arrested in connection with a shooting that resulted in the death of a 17-year-old boy on Friday, as reported by law enforcement officials.
Authorities responded to a shooting incident in the 3600 block of Madolyn Lane shortly after 7 p.m. on Friday, where they discovered 17-year-old Zaveon Simpkins with a gunshot wound. He was declared dead at the scene.
According to police, they apprehended brothers Christopher Kelly, 19, and Christian Kelly, 18, on Tuesday.
Both individuals face charges of capital murder and first-degree robbery and are currently held at the Montgomery County Detention Facility.
At this time, no additional information has been provided by the police. This incident marks the 15th homicide in Montgomery this year.
