Zair Murzakov Obituary, Death; – A truck driver has been located after going missing on Friday when his tractor trailer cab crashed through a guardrail on the Delaware Memorial Bridge and plunged into the water below.
As reported by the Delaware River and Bay Authority, it was approximately 3:40 a.m. on Friday, July 11, 2025, when a Bobtail Tractor traveling southbound on the Delaware Memorial Bridge towards Delaware crossed three lanes of traffic, veered onto the concrete pad near the Delaware anchorage, and collided with a concrete wall.
Officials indicated that the impact of the vehicle caused the concrete wall to collapse, resulting in the tractor trailer cab tumbling into the Delaware River.
The incident took place on the downslope of the bridge heading towards Delaware. According to officials, no other vehicles were involved in the accident. Search and rescue teams managed to locate the truck in the water on Friday; however, they did not recover the man’s body until Saturday, July 12, as reported by officials.
On Saturday, officials stated that emergency personnel utilized a Hurst tool to extract the body of 35-year-old Zair Murzakov, from Brooklyn, New York, from the cab, and the Delaware Medical Examiner took custody of the remains.
The tractor trailer was registered to XFR8 LLC, based in Ohio, officials noted. The Delaware River and Bay Authority is conducting an investigation into this incident as an accident.
