William Morrissey Obituary, Death; – The New York State Police have identified the driver of the SUV who lost his life in a collision on the Thruway in Albany on Monday. The incident occurred at approximately 12:11 p.m. near Exit 24, just west of the interchange between I-90 and the Northway.
According to State Police, 64-year-old William Morrissey from Middleburgh was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident on June 16, following a collision with a tractor trailer. The left lane of the highway was closed for nearly five hours while law enforcement conducted their investigation of the scene.
The driver of the tractor trailer did not sustain any injuries during the incident and has reportedly been cooperative with the ongoing investigation. Authorities have confirmed that no criminal charges have been filed at this time.
