William Connerly,Shirley Connerly Obituary, Death; – Authorities have confirmed the identities of the individuals involved in a vehicular accident that resulted in two fatalities and two injuries on Tuesday afternoon in Tyler.
As reported by the Tyler Police Department, the incident occurred in the 200 block of SSW Loop 323, situated between Front Street and West Erwin Street. The deceased have been identified as William Connerly, aged 82, and Shirley Connerly, aged 79, both residents of Kerens, Texas.
The collision transpired when an SUV attempted to make a northward turn onto the SSW Loop, inadvertently moving in front of a southbound semi-truck. This impact caused both vehicles to veer into the northbound lanes, where they subsequently collided with three additional cars.
The driver of the 18-wheeler, along with one of the drivers from the northbound vehicles, was transported to a local hospital with injuries that are not considered life-threatening. The Loop 323 has been cleared and is now accessible to traffic.
