Victoriano Lopez Feliciano,Gabriel Lopez Feliciano Arrested; – Two individuals linked to a deadly shooting in Santa Maria on Friday have been apprehended, as reported by the Santa Maria Police Department.
On August 9, at around 11:02 p.m., officers from the Santa Maria Police responded to a shooting incident in the 1200 block of West Main Street.
Upon their arrival, officers found an adult female suffering from life-threatening injuries. She was taken to a nearby hospital, where she was subsequently pronounced dead.
On Sunday, August 10, detectives from the Santa Maria Police, in partnership with the Kern County Sheriff’s Office, located and arrested two suspects in connection with the homicide.
Victoriano Lopez Feliciano, 27, and his brother Gabriel Lopez Feliciano, 32, both of whom reside in Santa Maria, were found in Taft, California at approximately 6:00 p.m. and were taken into custody without any incidents. “Through thorough investigative efforts following the homicide, detectives identified both individuals as being involved,” stated the Santa Maria Police Department.
Victoriano Lopez Feliciano has been charged with murder, while Gabriel Lopez Feliciano has been charged as an accessory after the fact. Further details regarding the victim will be disclosed as they become available and after the next of kin has been notified.
