Venkateshwara Edara Obituary, Death; – A resident of Penfield lost his life in a collision on Atlantic Avenue over the weekend, as reported by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.
Venkateshwara Edara, 37, was traveling east on Atlantic Avenue at approximately 2:40 a.m. on Sunday when he failed to make a turn, resulting in his vehicle leaving the roadway, according to Deputy Brendan Hurley, a spokesperson for the sheriff’s office. After colliding with a utility pole, his car subsequently crashed into the front porch of a residence on Atlantic Avenue, near Five Mile Line Road, causing some structural damage to the property, Hurley noted.
Edara succumbed to injuries sustained in the accident. His obituary indicates that he is survived by his wife, Sai, and two daughters, aged 8 years and 11 months, along with numerous other family members. The obituary described him as a devoted family man, deeply committed to his wife and children.
“Known for his vibrant personality, Venkat was cherished for his sociable nature and willingness to assist others,” the obituary stated. “He took pleasure in spending time with friends and family, was an avid movie enthusiast, and had a passion for traveling and exploring new destinations.”
Edara was employed as a cyber security engineer at Excellus. In response to the situation, his family has initiated an online fundraiser to cover funeral costs and other unforeseen expenses, as mentioned on the GoFundMe page. By Tuesday morning, contributions had exceeded $56,000. A visitation is set to take place from 4 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday at James R. Gray Funeral Home, located at 1530 Buffalo Road, Gates.
