Tyrone Kearney Obituary, Death; The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) has disclosed the identity of the individual who was fatally shot near Oxon Run Park in Southeast D.C. Currently, detectives are seeking assistance from the community regarding this case.
In a recent update on Friday, law enforcement officials identified the deceased as 31-year-old Tyrone Kearney, a resident of Southeast, DC.
Just moments after 5:30 p.m. on November 19, officers responded to the 1200 block of Valley Avenue following reports of gunfire in the vicinity. Upon arrival, police discovered Kearney, who had sustained gunshot wounds, in an unresponsive state.
Medical personnel pronounced him dead at the scene.
As of Friday, no individuals have been apprehended, and the motive behind the shooting remains unknown.
