Tyrance Wise Obituary, Death; – A man who was fatally struck after entering Interstate 20 in Richland County on Friday has been named.
Richland County Coroner Naida Rutherford confirmed that the individual, Tyrance Wise, 46, hailed from Winnsboro, South Carolina. The incident occurred near mile marker 74.
Prior to the collision, Wise was stopped for a traffic violation, after which he allegedly exited his vehicle and crossed the median into the eastbound lanes, where he was subsequently struck by another vehicle, according to the Richland County Sheriff’s Department (RCSD).
It was noted by RCSD that deputies were not pursuing Wise at the time of the incident. Rutherford indicated that her office, in collaboration with the South Carolina Highway Patrol (SCHP), will continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
