Tryese Devell,Tijuan Devell Obituary, Death; – Investigators have confirmed the identities of three individuals who lost their lives in a devastating crash on Highway 20 in Earlville on October 13.
According to the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office, an initial inquiry conducted by the Iowa State Patrol indicated that a 2014 Chevy Impala, operated by 50-year-old Tijuan Devell White from Robbinsdale, Minnesota, was traveling eastbound on Highway 20 near the Earlville Interchange. The vehicle crossed the median and continued east in the westbound lanes.
The Chevy subsequently collided head-on with a semi-truck, resulting in both vehicles being completely engulfed in flames.
The semi-truck driver sustained minor injuries. Tragically, all three occupants of the Chevy perished at the scene, including White, along with passengers 21-year-old Tryese Devell Johnson from Minneapolis, Minnesota, and 38-year-old Augustine T. Monboe from Robbinsdale, Minnesota.
The investigation revealed that White had been shot prior to the collision. There was no evidence suggesting that the gunshot originated from outside White’s vehicle. Due to the extensive fire damage to the vehicle, the exact cause of death remains undetermined.
The inquiry is still active, being conducted by the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation, the Iowa State Patrol, the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office, and the Iowa State Medical Examiner.
