Trey Joseph Ridgeway,Jayden Anna Hughes Obituary, Death; – A woman from Cerro Gordo County has been confirmed as one of the victims in a tragic accident that occurred in Polk County.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a call at the intersection of NE 44th Street and NW 126th Avenue at approximately 2 PM on August 23. Upon arrival, deputies discovered two vehicles: one situated in the southeast ditch and the other within a wooded area on the southern side of the roadway, which was engulfed in flames.
Investigators report that one vehicle was traveling south while the other was moving east at the time of the collision. The female driver of the southbound vehicle sustained minor injuries, whereas two occupants of the eastbound vehicle were pronounced dead at the scene.
The Polk County Sheriff’s Office, in conjunction with the Polk County Medical Examiner’s Office, has identified the deceased individuals as Trey Joseph Ridgeway, 25, from Ankeny, and Jayden Anna Hughes, 23, from Clear Lake. The investigation into this incident remains ongoing.
