Travis Holland Obituary, Death; – A suspect has been formally charged with murder following an incident in which he allegedly shot and killed an individual on November 14 in North Austin. The Austin Police Department (APD) reported that 31-year-old William Bruce was apprehended and subsequently booked into the Travis County Jail on a murder charge.
Authorities arrived at the scene at approximately 12:42 a.m. on Friday, discovering a man on the ground suffering from a gunshot wound in the 8400 block of Goldfinch Lane. The victim, identified as 32-year-old Travis Holland, succumbed to his injuries around 1:01 a.m., marking the city’s 61st homicide of the year. According to APD, Bruce was initially detained for questioning before being identified and arrested.
Further investigation by crime scene specialists and homicide detectives revealed that Bruce discharged his weapon from his porch, targeting Holland as he was along the roadway.
