Todd Jones Obituary, Death: – The Suffolk Police Department responded to a deadly single-vehicle accident on Holland Road on Tuesday evening. Authorities reported that officers were dispatched to the vicinity of Route 58 and Holland Road shortly before 9:30 p.m. after receiving notifications of a vehicle collision.
Upon their arrival, officers found that a box truck had overturned and collided with a nearby embankment. The truck’s only occupant, 56-year-old Todd Jones from Norfolk, was taken to a local hospital, where he ultimately passed away from his injuries.
The incident resulted in the closure of the eastbound lanes of the Holland Bypass for approximately nine hours while crews worked to remove the debris. Those lanes have since been reopened. An investigation into the incident is currently underway, and no additional information has been released at this time.
