Tiofu Sooga Arrested; – A 36-year-old individual is facing charges of open murder following the discovery of a deceased man in a vacant lot located north of the Las Vegas Strip.
Tiofu Sooga, aged 36, was apprehended by Las Vegas Metro Police. He was located and taken into custody at the Clark County Detention Center on Tuesday.
According to police reports, dispatch received a call regarding a man who appeared to be deceased at a vacant lot situated in the 2100 block of Paradise Road, in proximity to Las Vegas Boulevard and Sahara.
Officers responded to the scene at approximately 9:11 a.m. Upon arrival, they found an unresponsive male. Medical personnel confirmed that he had died at the location. Crime scene investigators deemed the circumstances surrounding the death as “suspicious,” leading to the involvement of homicide investigators.
The initial examination conducted by the Clark County coroner indicated that the victim had sustained blunt force injuries. Police stated that details regarding the victim’s identity, as well as the cause and manner of death, can be obtained from the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
