Timothy Mulvey Obituary, Death; – The father of a Toledo man indicted for murder shot himself while police were serving a warrant at his home, the Lucas County coroner said Saturday.
Timothy Mulvey, 61, committed suicide while police were serving a warrant at his home in the 800 block of Colburn St. in South Toledo on Friday afternoon, Dr. Thomas Blomquist said.
The coroner said Mr. Mulvey died from a gunshot wound to the head. The death was ruled a suicide. Mr. Mulvey’s son, Joshua Sean Mulvey, 28, was one of two suspects charged in the death of Kristopher Snyder, 7, who was found dead in his home in the 1700 block of Freeman Street on June 2, 2023.
Joshua Mulvey and Samantha Hardiman, 29, were both indicted by a Lucas County grand jury Friday. Ms. Hardiman was indicted on two counts of murder, one count of involuntary manslaughter, and three counts of endangering children. Joshua Mulvey was indicted on a single count of involuntary manslaughter and one count of endangering children.
