Thomas Stockton Jr Obituary, Death; – A man from Brattleboro lost his life in a car accident on Sunday morning when his vehicle left the roadway and collided with a tree in Dummerston, Vermont. The Vermont State Police have identified the deceased as 32-year-old Thomas Stockton Jr.
Authorities reported that the incident took place at approximately 8:48 a.m. on U.S. Route 5, near the address 2179 U.S. Route 5. Stockton was traveling south in a 2014 Subaru Impreza when he drifted off the west side of the road. The vehicle descended an embankment before striking a tree. Stockton, who was the only occupant of the vehicle and was not wearing a seatbelt, was declared dead at the scene.
Emergency personnel from the West Dummerston Fire Department and Rescue Inc. provided assistance to state troopers at the location of the accident. At the time of the incident, weather conditions were reported to be clear and cold, with the road surface dry.
