Thomas Savovich Obituary, Death; – Authorities in the West Valley have confirmed the identity of a man who lost his life in a three-vehicle collision that resulted in multiple injuries on Monday afternoon.
Emergency services were dispatched to the vicinity of 107th Avenue and Rose Garden Lane at approximately 11:30 a.m. following reports of a serious accident involving three vehicles: a white Hyundai sedan, a silver Infiniti sedan, and a blue BMW SUV.
Upon arrival, officers discovered that the driver of the BMW, identified as Thomas Savovich, had succumbed to his injuries. A juvenile passenger in the BMW and the driver of the Infiniti sustained serious injuries and were transported to the hospital, while the Hyundai driver received treatment for minor injuries. Investigations indicate that the Hyundai driver was traveling west on Rose Garden Lane when they failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection, colliding with the northbound BMW.
The impact caused the BMW to strike the Infiniti, which was heading south on 107th Avenue. The Traffic Services Unit of the Peoria Police Department is currently conducting an investigation into the incident, although they have determined that impairment was not a contributing factor.
