Thi Lang Nguyen FOUND; – Authorities have confirmed the identity of the woman discovered deceased in Lady Bird Lake earlier this month, and they are now seeking assistance in locating her next of kin.
On Wednesday, the Austin Police Department issued a statement indicating that the individual found by a kayaker in Lady Bird Lake, close to Brazos Street on December 1, was identified as Thi Lang Nguyen, aged 73.
The Homicide Unit of the Austin Police Department is appealing to the public for help in identifying Nguyen’s next of kin. The statement noted that this is an ongoing investigation into her death, with no indications of foul play.
Detectives require the identification of her next of kin to relay this information to the Travis County Medical Examiner’s Office and the APD Victim Services Unit, which will assist in arranging her burial, as mentioned in the release.
