Terry Keller Obituary, Death; Topeka police say 72-year-old man killed, found near local community center

Terry Keller Obituary, Death; – Topeka police are initiating a new homicide investigation following the discovery of an older local man who was found deceased on Tuesday evening.

The Topeka Police Department (TPD) provided updates during a live meeting at 11:15 a.m. on July 16 at the Law Enforcement Center concerning a recent suspicious death inquiry. Law enforcement officials informed the community after the TPD located a deceased man inside a vehicle near the Central Park Community Center.

During the meeting, police stated that the victim has been identified as Terry Keller, 72, from Topeka. His death is currently being investigated as a homicide, and law enforcement is appealing to the public for assistance in identifying those responsible for the crime.

Officers on patrol in the 1500 block of Southwest Clay Street discovered a vehicle near the community center at approximately 6:45 p.m. on July 15. Upon investigation, they found one man inside, later confirmed to be Keller, deceased.
