Taron Nicks,Octavis Jackson Obituary, Death; – Two individuals who lost their lives in a shooting incident over the weekend outside a Hollywood venue, where a baby shower and a wedding anniversary celebration had recently concluded, were identified by law enforcement on Tuesday as the investigation for suspects continues.
Taron Nicks and Octavis Jackson, both aged 44, were fatally shot outside Jaycee Hall early Sunday morning, according to a statement from Hollywood Police.
The shooting, which occurred around 1:30 a.m. in the parking lot located in the 2900 block of Hollywood Boulevard, resulted in four individuals being struck by gunfire. One victim was declared dead at the scene, while the other three were transported to Memorial Regional Hospital, where the second victim succumbed to his injuries.
Currently, one victim remains in the intensive care unit, while another has been released from ICU but is still in recovery.
The incident transpired approximately 30 minutes after the baby shower concluded, following an altercation outside the venue that escalated into gunfire. The venue’s manager reported that around 80 guests were in attendance, celebrating both the baby shower and a couple’s tenth anniversary.
Authorities are actively investigating the circumstances leading up to the shooting and are determining whether any attendees of the baby shower were injured or involved in the incident. Law enforcement has identified several persons of interest; however, as of Tuesday evening, no arrests have been made.
Investigators issued a be-on-the-lookout alert to officers on Sunday for a vehicle with occupants who may possess information regarding the shooting.
