The incident resulted in the deaths of Tamir Davis, 26, and Darius Blalock, 26, while two additional individuals sustained injuries.
Maryland State Police indicated that the shooting followed an altercation at a gathering within a residence located on the unit block of Chestnut Drive in Elkton. The confrontation escalated outside, where an unidentified individual emerged from the home and discharged a firearm into a group of people gathered outside. Subsequently, the crowd scattered and fled the area.
On Sunday, residents of Elkton expressed their astonishment to WJZ regarding the event. The investigation into the shooting remains ongoing.
